Studio photography

Instead of upgrading my 4 year old 40D which admittedly starts too look a bit dated compared to most recent cameras, I decided to try a new thing. With a few cheap flash heads and soft boxes, and a couple of simple backgrounds, in a crammed house with no floor space, I am trying to become a world famous studio photographer. My main models are Mary and the boys, that is much more than anyone could hope for. But are they all willing to pose for me patiently? Let us see... ;)

Peaceful gallery

Although I have been thinking about a suitable subject for my next gallery for quite some time, I was unable to decide on a particular theme. Nevertheless, finally I made up my mind.
Perhaps not the most imaginative or controversial of all subjects, nature is meant to be here a source of peace and harmony, which seem to be somehow missing from this funny world of today.

"Childish" project

I think that almost everyone looks back to childhood with a certain amount of nostalgia. Life was much simpler and anxiety about the future practically non-existent. Over the past few years, thanks to our two little boys, I have accumulated quite a sizable collection of photos, recording the first, very important phase of their life. I decided finally to use this material, as well as some other photos from the past, and start a new project entitled Small people. I hope you like it.

You should not be surprised that Mary is a source of inspiration for me. I have decided to publish a small collection of her recent photos taken with my Canon G3. She is very patient with my photographic "obsession".
